Diabetes is a chronic disease, but with treatment and regular control, it is possible to reduce and even avoid complications. At the diabetes center of ImSan we work with a multidisciplinary team to treat patients with diabetes. The team consists of diabetes nurses, dieticians, podiatrists and medical pedicurists. The diabetes nurse is a specialized nurse in diabetes who gives you information on how to control your diabetes. The dieticians will inform you about nutrition, how to eat healthy, how to count your carbohydrates intake, weight control, etc. The podiatrist will examine your feet, advise you about your footwear and can make inserts for your shoes. The medical pedicurist can provide pedicure treatments on a regular base to avoid complications.
